Selective Pallet Racking
Selective pallet racking fitted with wire decking across each level.
Some warehouses carry only a handful of items, but they carry a lot of each. Building materials and hurricane-supply distributors in North Pinellas are good examples.
Drive-in pallet rack stores those loads in deep lanes the forklift actually drives into. Pallets sit on rails, one behind another, with almost no aisle space wasted.
We lay out drive in warehouse racking for operations from Oldsmar's industrial district to the Tarpon Springs industrial park and up US-19 into Pasco.
Hurricane-supply distribution brings a burst of the same products in the weeks before storm season: water, plywood, generators, tarps. Building materials suppliers stock lumber, block and roofing in a similar way.
That inventory is deep, not wide. A drive-in system lets you hold far more of it per square foot than selective rack would.
Off-season, the same lanes can hold other bulk stock, so the space keeps working year-round.
In a drive-in layout, lanes open on one side only. The last pallet in is the first one out, which suits stable, non-dated goods.
A drive-through layout opens both ends. You load from one aisle and pick from the other, giving first-in, first-out rotation for stock that needs it.
Drive-through pallet racking takes a little more space because of the second aisle, but solves rotation for products with shelf life.

Oldsmar's industrial district off Tampa Road (SR 580) and Douglas Road sits right near the Hillsborough line. Tarpon Springs and Palm Harbor buildings along US-19 and Alt-19 serve the northern half of the county.
Like the rest of Pinellas, these areas have very little vacant land for new buildings. Packing more pallets into the existing footprint is usually cheaper than relocating.
We show the exact position gain over selective rack on the drawing, so the decision rests on numbers.
Lane width is set by your pallet size and your forklift's overall width, with clearance on both sides. A truck that is too wide for the lane will damage uprights.
Rail capacity follows your heaviest pallet. The number of levels depends on clear height and the forklift's lift.
Lane depth should match how many pallets of one SKU you hold. Half-empty lanes waste the density you paid for.
We itemize frames, rails, bracing and labor, and phase the install around your receiving schedule if you are still operating. Our team handles the permit side for you.
Need more depth or an added section later? We plan the original layout with room to extend, and can reconfigure lanes as your product mix shifts.
